The aim of the Seamus Mullins Racing Club is to allow one and all to have a taste of racehorse ownership in the hope that new passions are developed, bonds and friendships are created, all based on the common interest in the sport of horse racing, from this Partnerships/ Syndications will be born and maybe even sole ownership opportunities realised here at Wilsford Stables. The main ethos is inclusion for everyone, as much racing and good fun as possible and above all else finding those all-important winners.

NUCLEAR- A lovely 4yo Gelding who we bought in Ireland as a 3yo. We broke him in last autumn and trained him over the winter ready for his bumper runs at the end of the season. He finished 2nd, first time out behind a smart looking horse ridden by Harry Cobden. He has schooled very well over hurdles which we feel will be his forte! He will start novice hurdling in November.
INSPIREUS- Here is another 4yo also bought in Ireland as a 3yo store horse. He is a tall scopey individual that has taken some time to mature, because of this we held off naming and running him with the racing club in mind. Now that he is there he will have a promising year ahead of him in a bumper and over then hurdles.
BOOLA RIVER- Boola is a recent acquisition from the Irish Point to Point sphere, coming over only a few weeks ago. She is a 7yo mare by Craigsteel who has taken some time to come together but has had a run of form at the start of the year in Ireland, winning and being placed in three PTP’s. She will come on again from the change of environment and professional training here at Wilsford. She likes soft ground, chasing and longer distances, a proper winter chaser.
Racing Manager- Our able assistant Paul Attwater will continue as SMRC Manager. I think we all enjoy his relaxed style and witty feedback! Please refer all correspondence, tickets requests, yard visit queries and any general questions to him as usual. 07702045086 - [email protected]
Monthly racing club yard visit- To allow you all to get a little bit more out of the club and to hopefully meet a few more of each other, I will be hosting a monthly SMRC morning on the gallops where the horses will be exercised with as many of you present as possible. Attendance is very much encouraged.
Ticket allocation- As with previous years every member will be entitled to an Owners and Trainers badge when attending. We can organise additional badges at cost, should you wish to introduce people to the racing club.
Events- As usual we will be holding a SMRC summer BBQ for all members. It is usually a great occasion with many attending and lots of fun and general information for racing club members.
